Apocalypse: Verdun

It was the longest battle in the whole of the Great War and one of the bloodiest in history.

To commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the Battle of Verdun, we will portray it through compelling narration and colourized archive footage.

The battle of Verdun raged for 300 days of nightmarish combat over an area of 100 square kilometres. In terms of strategic objectives, it achieved nothing. In the course of those 300 days, 700,000 men were killed, wounded or reported missing in action. The very name "Verdun" came to epitomize the seemingly endless, monotonous bloodshed that was typical of the Great War as a whole.

Para conmemorar los 100 años de la batalla de Verdún, la representaremos a través de una cautivadora narración y un archivo de rodaje a color.

La batalla de Verdún abarcó 300 días de horribles combates en un área de 100 kilómetros cuadrados. En términos de objetivos estratégicos, no se logró nada. Durante el trascurso de esos 300 días, 700.000 hombres fueron asesinados, heridos o fueron reportados como desaparecidos en acción. El mismo nombre de "Verdún" representa el imparable y monótono derramamiento de sangre característico de la Primera Guerra Mundial.
